Class Description
Dance works studio specialises in Funk/Hip-Hop, Jazz and Tap Classes for Adults with a variety of levels from beginners to advanced.
We offer classes for people wanting to dance for exercise or for those interested in performing.
We hold an annual concert every year for all students to show off their skills to friends and family.
Whether you are 18 or 80, beginner or advanced, there is sure to be a class to suit you.
FUNK/HIP-HOP
This is an adult class, great to improve fitness and co-ordination. It allows students with little or no dance experience
through to the most advanced dances to participate actively in every class.
With moves inspired by to-days R’n’B and Hip-Hop film clips and movies such as “Honey”, this class will leave you
energised and wanting more.
JFH
This class
combines Jazz, Funk and Hip Hop. A great class with lots of variety every week.
The Youth class is aimed at students aged 15-18yrs
Lyrical
Jazz
This style of dance combines elements of modern, ballet and jazz. This class
works on strength and brings out expression and emotion from the dancer.
TAP
These classes are perfect for those who have never danced before. We offer a
variety of levels in Tap ranging from beginners to advanced.
Tap dancing is great exercise and lots of fun for all ages. No matter what level of fitness you are at, you may just find the hidden Ginger
Rogers or Fred Astaire in you!
SHOWGIRL
This class is designed for the fun and playful girl and is full of sassy and sensual moves.
You'll dance with fans, feathers, chairs and bowers to name a few. Leave your
inhibitions at the door but you're guaranteed to have a lot of fun and get a great workout.
BROADWAY
If you love the old Razzle Dazzle and have dreamt about stealing the spotlight on Broadway
then this is the class for you. Every class includes stretch and strength exercises to work
towards those lovely kicks then you'll explore all the Broadway shows and dance vintage chorusline,
Caberet broadway and even the Parisian CanCan
STRETCH
This class combines elements of yoga with stretch components
particularly suited to dance. The aim is to develop core strength,
ease and openness in the joints and a flexible, well balanced body.
